Got my first chink shit ever, a scalpel with changeable knifes. It's got a plastic cap and a little box for knife replacements, it's pretty nice. Knives are quite sharp, handle seems to be made out of aluminium, it's got some small scratches but I don't really care. Considering it's about 1.6 bux I think it's pretty good.

First of all, check if your motherboards sound chip really is shitty by using the connectors on the back of the case instead of the connectors on the front.

I have one of those USB stick type soundcards myself and the sound quality isn't all that. You'll probably have to spend a bit on a good USB DAC/AMP box to get decent results for headphones.

Here is an example of one of those USB-stick type sound cards that are no good for anything but listening to podcasts and other things where people just talk a lot (not music):

The analog audio quality of that usb sound card box is garbage. It does have a SPDIF digital output and that works perfectly. You're just sending digital bits over USB which are then moves digitally over SPDIF and the DAC in your receiver / stereo handles the rest.

If you want to connect analog outputs like expensive headphones to your computer then I advice you to just avoid China/csg and just buy something good branded locally.

Since my Kindle has died, I am looking for an alternative to read books. I think the smartest thing to do would be to try and buy another Kindle, but I'm looking at some tablet options to use as an e-reader. Of course, the battery life wouldn't be as good, but I'd be able to do more with it. I'm looking at a price range of 80-120~ bucks or Euros.
