self hosting is pretty easy these days, zoho is also bretty gud along with cock.li, don't expect any privacy with the latter 2 though.

https://mailbox.org/en/

They don't need your name, and you can pay with Bitcoin or cash in the mail.
Their IMAP server supports the Sieve protocol, something you rarely find otherwise.

I'm sure your self-hosted mail servers has properly configured DKIM, DNSSEC, SPF, spam filters and offers Sieve message filtering.
All doable by hand, but once you factor in your hourly wage, renting quickly becomes the superior option.

Use SIGAINT premium.

Do you have a good guide/tutorial to set up a mail server on Debian?
I'm currently trying to setting up Postfix/Dovecot and all I find all this shit a bit hard for the noob I am
>>
>>59390514
I'm not sure about it but I'd go with Dark Mail Technical Alliance's magma, which looks like they provide a webmail, or Emersion's neutron, a third-party ProtonMail implementation. I haven't tried this so far because I'd need a server prior to this.

What did he mean by this?
What providers DO get you put on a list?

Why is openmailbox.org in the list of recommended e-mail providers?
Isn't what it offers a little bit way too good for a free service?
>>
>>59390514
Don't self host mail unless it's on a VPS and you absolutely know what you're doing. Start off by practicing on one of those free domains like .tk or something.

Mail servers are too easy to get listed on major spam lists and way too easy to get pwned.

>nsa proof you're mail
nsa confirmed trolls
>>

iredmail takes literally minutes to set up, it's retard proof. cover 90% of shit that needs done to get up and running- spam/dkim/spf/ui

if you're atleast semi-technical and can follow a guide you can get the other 9.9%. which is mostly security shit

renting is back to the root cause of the issue
