Right my rig is over 7 years old now. Most games i need to turn settings to low or medium to get my 60FPS now. looking for some quick wins to improve my rig.
Most demanding games I'm playing are Killing Floor 2 , Resident evil 7 and i'm wanting to play Ghost Recons wildandlas when i see it on sale.
current specs:
core i5 2500k
amd radeon 6950 2GB
corsair 4 X 2GB DDR3

The GTX 1060 is pretty good value and will be enough for Resident Evil 7 and Ghost Recon WIldlands
SSD is probably a good idea too

Why not buy a current gen card that will by itself crush your dual 6950? Also yes do get an SSD.

Well
I guess you could either get a RX 480 and no SSD or a RX 470/1050 Ti plus a small SSD for Windows and one or two small games

What can expect from a RX 480 ?
will I be able to play the games mentioned above on high settings and still see 60fps?
>>59386702
yes
>>59386702
RX 480 and 1060 6 GB are this generation's 1080p cards, yes.

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

If you wait about two months they're gonna drop prices once Vega drops. The 480 itself is gonna get a rebrand with higher clocks and serve as the low-midrange
what resoluton do you play at ?

Multi GPU solutions are meh.
You will be better off getting a 1060 or something like that.
Get a 2nd hand GTX 770 or HD7970
Both should be cheap and a cheap ssd

>wait
That meme again...
