Unironically read the first 2 chapters of Binney's the Physics Of Quantum Mechanics.

You will NEVER understand it using popsci 'user friendly' sources. Pro tip: if a resource talks about quantum 'bits' having three states (0, 1 and both) then what you are reading is inaccurate and you should bin it.
