iPhones have the best mobile hardware. iPhones are similarly priced to other android flagships, while having a budget model as well. so the typical overpriced/underpowered argument against apple goes out the window for the specific case of the iPhone.

the only other thing can validly criticism iPhones for is the software. considering the alternative is a botnet mobile OS designed by a company to mine your data to sell to advertisers (90% of googles revenue comes from advertising), iOS wins by default. the longevity of software support, better apps, consistency, etc are all icings on the cake.

All the tech companies these days very much do not want to sell you one device and leave it at that, they want to work their way into every nook and cranny of your digital life.
