You know what to do

>current year

>edward snowden
>vault 7
and you retards still use windows? lmao
>>59379597
Thinkpad x220T
>>59379842
>muh nothing to hide
>muh vidya gaymes
I use windows 7 because alternatives to windows don't support the software I need, but I wouldn't install 10 because it's obvious spyware.
I'll get round to adding water cooling at some point
>>59380277
Fuck I wish I could get past 4.5Ghz on my 6700k
>>59380237
>Not enjoying the benifits of joining the botnet
>Not having ads targeted from things that never left your own PC
>Not having your gaming habits sold to insurance companies so they can raise your rates
>Not submitting the the consumerism
What the fuck is wrong with you?
Sup.
>>59379800
Unless that's a render workstation you have some serious explaining to do
>>59380161
Solid OC but your idle temps would only be acceptable if you lived in the desert. If not, clean your stuff or downclock
>>59380185
Solid build but you need a SSD
>>59380201
I hope you paid no more than $50 for that 2nd hand
>>59380217
That GPU is older than the kids who shit talk people on COD
>>59380250
3/10 Made me reply
>>59380277
Throw a 1080 TI in there!
>>59381436
Please tell me that you're either on welfare or you're about to do a new build soon. With a new monitor.
>>59381447
You need more RAM and your GPU is way to weak for that screen and CPU
>>59379597
>>59381511
>you're about to do a new build soon. With a new monitor.
Not at all. Maybe a new HDD (this one is 5400RPM and SATA II I think) but other than that it works fine. Also, what's wrong with the monitor? It's 22 inch.
>>59381560
What do you use that PC for man?
>>59381536
Looking good anon
>>59381897
>What do you use that PC for man?
Playing a few games (GTA IV,Need For Speed 13,GTA San Andreas, might try Watch_Dogs),editing with Sony Vegas 13 and mostly internet (Youtube,Facebook etc.
>>59381981
How does it run any of that even reasonably well?
>>59381994
Both GTA IV and NFS 13 are VRAM dependant,Sony Vegas was configured to run on my PC (Preferences and there are the options I need to configure) and otherwise it's pretty fast. The R7 240 helps a lot. I might get some more RAM once I find another 2GB stick.
Oh,and it's not listed there but I also have a AVerMedia AVerTV Super 009 (Phillips SAA7135) TV Tuner that I use for recording shows and gameplays (sometimes).
What do the numbers between parentheses in the RAM specs mean?
>>59379597
So this... is the power... of Pentium... woah...
>>59382056
Timings.
>>59382109
Are these good timings?
>>59382166
Not great. 8-8-8-24 would be decent for DDR3 1600. It's probably not worth your time to tweak it though.
I'm a gay retard so you'll get the hwm instead
nothing is OCd because I'm a gay retard
I'd like to OC though but it's too much of a hassle
>>59382273
also my idle is 30-35C which is of course safe but everyone else idle at like 25C which kind of makes me think I should reseat the cooler before OCing
>>59382339
iktf
>everyone's GPUs are at a comfy 25-30C or lower
>mine idles at 50
Then again its cooler fans turn off when idling, I can bring it to sub 40 by setting fan speed to around 40%
Don't judge the slow RAM.
>>59382422
I had the same with my previous GPU
>R9 390, no fans idle 60C
>GTX 1070, no fans idle 30C
plenty of other with the same 390 had normal idles so I don't know what was wrong with mine, it worked fine and game temps were fine
>>59382433
Did you underclock it or something? What kind of shitpost is this?
I'm starting to outgrow my i5.
>>59379842
Linux is not that much more private.
>>59382441
Yeah my 380X can get up to 82C under max load
I should probably invest in some proper case fans because the fans that came preinstalled in the case don't seem to do jack shit.
>>59382466
Mine are the same, the sticks are 1600mhz, 4x4gb corsair vengeance.
How can I fix this? In UEFI? Have no idea about clocking.
>>59382502
82C was where my 390 got too, under 90C is fine though
airflow doesn't seem to have any effect for me though, the 390 idled at 60C with great airflow
the 1070 at 30C even without case fans
>>59381511
It's Precision R7610 after whole unit replacement with damaged one CPU slot, i've added shitty graphics and yes, i'm using it as render workstation as well.
>>59382466
>What kind of shitpost is this?
Not everyone has upgraded to 4000MHz DDR4 yet.
>>59382540
Then I guess the housefires meme is real
>>59382509
Did you enable you XMP profile? And if it doesn't support that then go talk too >>59381114
>>59382911
never heard about that, I'm on an am3+ board and it seems designed for intel? I'll check in UEFI
>>59383085
XMP profiles are in the RAM not by who makes your CPU. Go take a gander in your UEFI and see if you find it in the memory settings
Speccy, CPU-Z and temperatures under load (both Furmark and Prime95 running)
Should I upgrade to Ryzen 5?
>>59383111
No you idiot. Go buy and I5, you already have the motherboard for it.
>>59383165
I've been watching ebay for a cheap Skylake i5 but prices haven't dropped on them yet
>>59383109
>XMP profiles are in the RAM not by who makes your CPU
Not true. XMP is an Intel thing. AMD's equivalent is called AMP. Most AMD motherboards will read and convert them automatically for you, but some manual tweaking is often required (since Intel chips can generally handle tighter timings).
>>59383185
Ah, well my apologies. Guess you just get used to not dealing with AMD hardware after awhile
At times I considered switching i3 for an i5 but I'm just too lazy to reinstall Window
>>59383214
>>59383185
Any downsides to enabling that?
>>59383282
you can just drop it in, no reinstall needed.
>>59383350
Only upsides. Faster RAM, and sometimes it OC's your CPU a bit too.
>>59379597
>>59381536
Why does it say 3GB 1080ti?
Is this worth it? I need a computer to start doing music and video editing. It'll be $1200 when it's all said and done.
>>59383722
Seems on the expensive side desu
>>59383722
ya dood can't go wron with razer great quality/price/performance

>the color of the LED fans is specified in more detail than the mainboard, RAM, PSU or GPU
Steer clear.
>>59383722
They're using a cheap mobo, RAM, HDD, and PSU. Don't fall for it, anon.
>>59384675
Thanks, brother. I'm looking to spend about $1,200 on a PC and I don't know where to get the best deal.
>>59384815
Build it yourself. Something along the lines of
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rkCzjc
Or ask >>59376071
>>59379597
>>59383722
I highly recommend you to build one, prebuilt gaming shit is shit
>>59383282
theoretically you can do what >>59383366 said, but I wouldn't recommend it
>>59385586
dont tell me you fell for the crossfire apu gpu meme?
>>59385816
just shitty budget, never used the apu crossfire
I just use the apu to run one screen from the motherboard, since my video card doesn't have 2 vga ports, and I can't afford an adapter
bench me bros
