Mine's tubes. It must suck to have an actual use for these things and have them all being bought up for clocks/steampunk, though.

Cathode ray tubes.

I wish I could find some hexadecimal tubes. Shit would be cash.

I don't know if this is actually obsolete since there is a demand and need for it.
CRTs are almost required to properly use retro consoles and what with the increasing interest in retro gaymen and collecting, it is in demand.
Having said that, I don't know anyone who still makes them.

Tubes are not steampunk because it's supposed to take place well before cathode tubes were invented and when they were, the era of steam was already over.

>>59380223
I think tubes are "dieselpunk", whatever the fuck that is.
>>59380256
Diesel-punk is amazing and underrated.
Basically a sci-fi 1910s-1940s looking era.

Typewriters.
But with the recent CIA leaks it seems like typewriters are the most secure OS.

As long as you don't use a backdoored filing cabinet made after 1963.

This. Currently using one, actually, since I'm a gaymer who needs 160Hz but also a poorfag who can't afford an LCD that offers such a refresh rate.
It's quite good for some old programs that run at 800x600 only as well, as any resolution is native and doesn't require scaling.

THIS.
>>59380320
Typewriters are cool but I have no real use for one so I can't justify getting one. Also you have to pay an excessive amount for a dvorak one that probably will work worse than a qwerty one.

Cassette tapes specifically have no real use except for "Muh lossless magnetic media"
Data-Storage tapes go into the hundreds of terabytes, it's ridiculous.

Where did I say ARM is better?
I just say x86 is shit full of deprecated stuff like A20 memory line or starting in real (16-bit) mode.
>>59380275
There needs to be more dieselpunk. It's like if world war 1 and 2 era fashion, culture, and technology never ended.
>>59382644
Yes but on the other hand the RISC-V foundation offers a pretty good amount of money per post.
>>59380056

You need a replacement before it's obsolete dumbass.
