Pretty easy to do, creating the install media is the trickiest part. I was able to snag x220 i7 version for 140 dollars and a dell 1510 wireless card for 15. It took me about 4 hours to install the os because my VM of El Capitan kept ejecting my thumb drive prematurely. Everything works except for the sd card reader which I never used.

Best laptop for hackintoshing? I don't want to have fuck with it too much. I'd be ok with replacing the wireless card as long as it's not too expensive, but if I need a special brand of hard drive or something then fuck it. Would an x200 be any good? Actual Macs are trash. I'm done with "high end" PCs. I want something extremely cheap that's easy to take apart. Also no dedicated graphics please.

The situation is actually better now than few years ago. I've built a Hackintosh for iOS development (my macbook pro was broken and I hate the 2016 model with gimmick touchbar), it took me like 2 hours and everything works except suspend (which I didn't bother because it is a desktop machine).
