Whenever the fuck apple feels like it. Support for the first iPhone ended after iOS 3 and you can still run the latest version of macOS on anything with a core i3 or higher. Sometimes apple gives 10+ years of support for a product sometimes they never update it. It's whatever the fuck apple decides. Hence why people think even windows is superior because you can put it on whatever the fuck you want to.
