Before editing the config file of irssi was on super user by doing 'sudo su'. Now every time I start irssi i get the default configuration, I have to enter super user for mt configuration to load. My question is this: How many config files does irssi have? I wanna backup my current config but .irssi/config doesn't contain my config. Can I export my settings while running irssi?

most programs will have a global and local config, sounds like you edited a global one or something

yes you can always export like that this isn't windows or a database

your config is probably in /root/.irssi/config

or somewhere in etc. don't do that. put your config in *your* directory.
