Why did VR fail again /g/?

What we know as VR is not VR.
VR is about all senses. This is just having a screen on your face and you are still literally moving with a controller.
The VR dilemma won't be solved with current technology. We will need to find a way to stimulate the brain to force a lucid dreaming state. The brain itself is already powerful enough to create a simulated world. It's all about exploiting that.
Meanwhile plebs will enjoy their """"VR"""". Lmao.
Too expensive.

30 degree field of vision on crappy 150x150 lcd panels, hooked up to comuters that could only barely handle the most basic of 3d grahics.

The horsepower required to run it. Most dickheads just want a pnp experience where they can fap in 360 view. GearVR and other mobile VRs didn't flop but did horrible since it was paywalled to hell. PC VR like Rift and Vive did flop since it was a niche product

Expensive as fuck and majority of people can't dedicate an entire room for a proper setup.
>Impractical
>Expensive
>Gimmicky
I'm sure others can chime in with more buzzwords
