I solder and assemble PTH and SMD components onto 200 different kinds of PCB's.

Soldering is easy as fuck to do if you have good eyes and steady hands. Practice it for a month starting from Put Through Hole components, when you're comfortable with that and have decent solder joints move up to SMD components.

Buy any cheap chinese soldering iron with the ceramic heating element on aliexpress, they're good for a beginner.

I use the Weller WXR3 at work, comfy but quality of iron tip is shit.
