I was going to make a windows 9x thread today. Definitely best windows with maybe the exception of 2000 pro.

I agree with this. For some reason I can get 2000 to run Steam and regular games but 98 cant. Any solutions?

I've been thinking about building a win 98 machine for fun/gaming maybe. Probably wait until the summer when Im not at uni.

Steam doesnt support 98 these days so I dont know how to help with that, but a lot of old games from steam ran fine through wine without steam running at all on linux so it might be possible just to copy the game files from the steam directory and then just run the exe's on the 98 machine
