I went without internet for about a month or two quite a while ago when moving into an old place that wasn't hooked to the grid. At the time I complained constantly, but part of me misses it a little. I could marathon anime effortlessly, since at the end of each episode I had nothing better to do than move over to next episode. I even had time to read novels, or just sit quietly and contemplate things.

Unfortunately it's just not the same to simply unplug and hide my ethernet cable. I think I'd need to rent or buy a remote cabin to experience it again.

I remember not having Inernet for a few months last year, and while I missed a lot of important things, it was absolutely fantastic.

I have a bad Internet addiction, and not being constantly worried about reading emails, RSS feeds, etc. felt incredibly liberating.
It was like I was bedridden in a basement for years and then I was pic related.

My FOMO was gone because I just gave up on whatever was happening around me and didn't have the need to always wanting to know or partecipate in what's happening online.
