Why are there no good, lightweight, streamlined, yet feature-rich virtual audio cable programs out there?
I mean, for fuck's sake, how difficult could it be? Just make the fucker ASIO and WDM compatible, and you're pretty much g2g.
Because /nodemand/ outside of niche content creator territory.
Discord succeeded so hard, because it provided a service with an interface head and shoulders above the competition, with a good featureset and above average support, but the service it provides is in very high demand.
Most content creators on the level that would require a good virtual audio cable probably have hardware solutions or work arounds in place already, diminishing demand even further
