Anyone know anything about file recovery?
Hour ago deleted a folder which i would like to restore. App like recuva cant find those files (mainly pictures), latest file date it finds is month old.
Does it mean i already overwritten the files that i deleted?
Any help appreciated
You installed recuva over the folder you're trying to find.

Is the last time you changed a file a month ago?

But tis true, you can't rely on data recovery software that was installed on the same disk you're performing the recovery on
I've never had success with any data recovery software, even with files that were literally just deleted.

It's always the same answer, OP. Fire up a Linux distro and scan the disc with testdisk/photorec. If you don't have experience with Linux, Recuva should be fine. If those programs fail to recover your data, I guess you have no other chances.
Protip: if you realize you deleted important stuff, to avoid overwriting it, don't save/create new files, don't install new programs, etc.
However if you deleted the files one hour ago, it shouldn't be that hard to recover them.

My advice is to always make backups.
You're welcome.

Same
Recuva is a meme

Quit buying drives that overwrite newer deleted files first.
