I normally buy mid range phones and upgrade after about a year to 18 months. But I don't think there's any phones under $500 on my carrier that have a 1440p screen, better battery life than the 6p, and a significantly better processor than the 6p. Everything with the Snapdragon 835 is way more expensive than even previous flagships.

You don't have to worry about going homeless, worry about something breaking down and unable to afford repair or replacement, you can get any health problems checked out and treated right away, you can buy high quality food and eat out, you can just buy the best without wasting money and time on looking for good deals...

Then with money you can pursue a lot of hobbies. You can travel and become an interesting person through your experiences. Then you can meet people and make friends. If you are socially awkard and dress badly you can even hire a coach to help you.

It's more like unhappiness can be solved with money.

This is because you have no true hobby. If the hobby is technology then all you need is money to get it, and that requires no self-ability.

Hobbies that you might like include reading, photography (don't become a gearfag pls), programming, video games, languages, or model building. All of these take some investment, but more than that require a self-drive and a self-interest.

If you have the money, consider buying a car with a manual transmission, or rebuilding a car in your free time. That would be a cool thing to do, and I want to do that once I'm out of an apartment, or if I could rent a garage space.
