I have a Roku and I like it. But you should know, it makes you enter a credit card to set it up. It won't work at all without putting one in. Presumably so you can click around and accidentally spend money.

I use the Apple TV -- and it's fucking awesome -- but I can recognize that it costs too much for some. You might prefer the Roku if you're on a budget. If you're not, though, my vote's for the Apple TV.

Yeah, great, a $35 Raspberry Pi. And a $9 power adapter. And a $10 enclosure. And a $15 SD card. Aaaaaand you've passed up the Roku's price point. It's good and all, but it's not a magic bullet of affordability.

rPi3 is letting me down. I have one with the most recent openelec but when I play videos on it, it pitches up and down the audio randomly. I know it's not the files' fault because they don't do this on my real computer, but I don't know if the software is just shit or if the pi is too weak to decode it in the first place

so blatant, so obvious, but made me chuckle. well done.

Nothing really.
But between Roku and Apple,
Do you like Premium rentals from iTunes or Vudu?

Most recent isengard or w/e plus most recent version of Kodi
>>59264459
sooo krypton? or Jarvis? I would try flashing the SD and reloading it with a fresh version and see if that fixes it.
>>59262800
Just get a roku 3 anon
>>59262800
amazon fire stick is also an option
>>59262800
I like the bigger Rokus like the one in your pick. The sticks are meh.
The Roku doesn't have any stupid lag while browsing for movies. Believe me shills and buyer's remorse retards will tell you the sticks don't lag but they do. The only con is you need a HDMI cable.

cheap Kodi box
hell, i just installed PPSSPP on it and play the Initial-D game smoothly (sometimes drops to 26fps).
I never understood the Apple Tv...you pay an absurd amount of cash for a box that lets you rent or buy movies?
