You need larger borders for higher DPI screens anyways, so your "2 or 3" pixel borders will always be approximately the same amount of screen space when you upgrade to a monitor that's not 1366x768. If you try to keep it small you end up with issues resizing because Windows doesn't let you resize with a hotkey like dwm.
