Write your own, the CSS can still be edited to directly affect the user interface.
What you also might want to do is get rid of the blank space or white blank page flash at 0.1s whenever you create a new tab.

Look at when the browser turns semi-transparent after switching to a new tab. Normally that is just white for about 1ms.

I got these from weird russian guy who used to post in desktop threads. Try sampling them.

/*remove blinding white 0.1s background flash*/
#appcontent,
#appcontent > #content,
#appcontent > #content > tabbox > tabpanels{
background: none !important; /*transparent*/
background-color: transparent !important;
}

/*hello annoying white flashing again*/
tabbrowser tabpanels,
browser{
background: none !important;
background-color: transparent !important;
}

>>
>>59244991
Thanks! Testing out now. Only able to replicate in "new tab>click dial link" which makes it transparent against the background windows.
>>
>>59245064
Then you need to find the css selector affecting new tabs when you press ctrl+t.

While we're on the topic of desktop waifus, do any of you guys know if there are "spritesheets" of many popular anime characters?

I want to make a "desktop girl" kind of program where an anime babe of your choice walks around on the desktop and climbs windows and stuff.

The hardest part is the actual drawings, and I can't draw for shit. It would be great if some kid on deviantart already made anime "spritesheets"

It's already pretty customizable. What specifically do you want to customize?

>stop hogging ram
That's really not Firefox's fault is it? I'm pretty sure iti's the websites you visit. Unless you can point to something specific about Firefox that causes it to use more RAM than necessary.

>be faster
Ironically, being faster usually requires consumption of more RAM. So you may not be able to get both of these. However, I'll admit that Firefox has a pretty slow UI. Safari has some tricks it uses to make the UI snappier, but it definitely requires more RAM to do so.

I use different browsers on different OS depending on my needs/level of privacy.

>just browsing around on sites I wouldn't care if my boss was watching me: Android/Windows + Chrome or Firefox

>porn: OSX + Safari + VPN

>online banking, paying bills, anything data sensitive/private etc: OSX + firefox (noscript/ublock/self-destruct cookie/https everywhere) + VPN

Bottom line, don't even think of doing anything you wouldn't want hackers/government/strangers know about on Windows and without a VPN.

Nah. It's the same a Chrome. All browsers are shit.
It lacks the performance while Chrome lacks the features and advanced user friendliness.
Both are shit in their own ways,
however Firefox is the lesser sin because you can use it with a good computer while Chrome's lack of functionality and freedom is a disgrace on the same.
>>
Firefox: NOt even once!
>>
Good PC: Firefox (Nothing is sacrificed)
Shit PC: Chrome (Features are sacrificed for performance)

It's a simple formula. Like 2+2=4.
I don't understand what's so confusing about it.
