Anyone else still have a 390?
I got this on launch day and I feel like I really should have waited for the 400 series to come out
At least driver updates have improved performance somewhat

I wouldn't. 390 is still a beastly card. I almost felt buyers remorse for buying a GTX 970 about six months before it came out.

still have a r9 290x
works just fine
glad i didn't get a 780 at the time
Still on a 390x, don't really see a reason to upgrade yet.
why do nvidia cards age like stale memes while amd cards seem to get better over time?

why? an OCed 970 is still faster than a 390. the only downside is >3.5.

>current year
>3.5gb acceptable
m8 games are using 5gb+ now

i've played every AAA game released in the last 2 years with my cuck card and haven't had any issues.

resident evil is only one game friendo
480 isnt all that much faster, certainly not enough to be noticeable or worth an upgrade. Besides Sapphire is literally best GPU AiB of either brand.
Current running Fury Nitro, fucking love it, had a pair of Vapor X 270Xs before that.

This. The 290X is one of the best cards ever made. Pity about the shit stock cooler, but there are some decent custom options.

390x checking in
Stole it out of a gaymer kiddys pc when his parents brought him a 1080.
10/10 desu does 1440p no worries.

That's because 970 drivers force games to use lower quality textures.
