What are you planning to do? If it's a router, I'd say, OpenWRT, tho have a look at Vyos as well.

I picked pfSense. More capable, can run on a desktop machine of your configuration instead of a little sealed plastic box. You put the little sealed plastic box in access-point only mode and plug it in to the pfSense machine.
