Opera is a good browser but it's closed source, chromium based and recently sold to a chinese company so switching to it from firefox is taking a huge step back in many ways. So i would recommend disabling some useless plugins and changing some setting in about:config so firefox works likes it used to again or switching to pale moon. Opera's a great browser though i use it to cast muh anime to chromecast.

it has built-in vpn that's pretty handy for watching content that's blocked in your country.. but I do prefer FF over it for anything other than casual meme browsing

I would say the same, at this point Vivaldi is a better version of current Opera, but sill not quite as good as Opera 12
