Help me to decide between Debian and Ubuntu I am using Linux

Go for ubuntu for the easily googleable tech support.
Personally I recommend Xubuntu since the DE is replaced by something lightweight and not made of garbage

Yeah, i didn't intend to use Unity at first place because i heard that's bloated
But i think i will go with Mate

Why not try some non-Debian based distro? Manjaro is pretty comfy and you have AUR.
