I'm pretty sure it can. I got a dud 1070 and my motherboard stopped working even after I removed the 1070 from my system. It wasn't because of the PSU, the 1070 came to me broken.

I have an evga 750ti sc edition and I've played everything I want to like fallout 4, kf2, and Mad Max. If your 750 doesn't have damaged cables which you could probably have it checked out for a small fee then you can save money by popping that bad boy in.

last summer in my shit yuropoor country the 750ti was $10 cheaper than a new 960, so you might want to take this into consideration.

I would believe is a world very similar to ours except people would makes loads of threads on 4chan asking if they should get the 1050ti or 1060 instead since price is pretty disputable with tech pretty much all the time.
