Reference clocks are irrelevant. An 8/16 chip is a fire hazard by definition. The 4/8s or even the 6/12s might be the best chips for gaming.
AMD fucks up at marketing, plan and simple.
Intel starts with promoting the 4/8s first and then wait for 1 year at least for the "-E" products of 6/12 or more.

This is strange, the synthetics all say single/multithread performance should be sufficient.
