I'm surprised the openSUSE project is sill active, it serves literally no purpose
>>59191285
It's the best desktop distribution available. At least in the top 5.
>>59191285
It's a "just werks" OS. It has pretty good driver support out of the box for most things.
Also they have trade deals with microsoft.

Serious question, what's wrong with opensuse?
Never used it but with the new PC i'll build this year i want a solid unix based OS for dual.. don't really want to go with *buntu shit anymore and considered opensuse since a friend of mine likes it.

The bug is 7 years old. Apparently openSUSE recovered just fine.

While it has a bunch of asspie germans on their forums to help you, openSUSE is still less popular and therefore fixing problems might involve scary technical tutorials.
But in my experience openSUSE is pretty solid and bug-free. Most problems can be solved with a setting in a menu somewhere or with a google search.
I haven't tried enough desktop environments to know, but I've seen people say that it has great KDE implementation if you like KDE.
Also you can easily download and install software that isn't in a repository ( that you already have) by searching for it on their software page. software.opensuse.org/

It still supports KDE3 for us who don't want eye candy.

I'll try different OS in an experimental VM of course, but generally i'm not scared of those tutorials.
If it's really only about some aspies on the forum i don't care. Guess i'll try it, thanks m8.
