For the average gamer, not yet, but dx12 games will be able to take advantage of it in the CPUs lifetime.
For someone that edits video/runs virtual machines/etc etc, yes.

Amd cpus won't be a furnace with tim instead of solder and a crappy cooler to go along with it and they won't need a nuclear reactor to run your computer like intel's shitty current cpu design

1)by nature they have double the internal bandwidth so they will be faster by a similiar clocked 4c
