LG OLEDs like the 55B6P if you want to hop on the 4k train early. Don't get the curved version. OLED is the first worthwhile development in TVs since flat screen 1080i CRTs and plasmas. LCD/LED backlit is shit. Plasma like the Pioneer Kuro are great but getting old.

The latest set of LG OLEDs aren't at much risk either. They can get image retention, but burn-in would take serious effort. Don't use them as computer monitors, basically.

Most normies I know talk shit about 4K. They have no clue how to display it, and won't until Netflix advertises its 4K streaming more heavily. Then they'll get around to lurching into Costco to get the latest piece of shit Vizio for $200.
