Can it play Netflix at 4K?

Benchmarks are cute but I'm going to use my new CPU in the real world.
>>
>>59179488
Buy a Roku and hook it up to your monitor.

Doesn't support 4k Netflix it's practically useless

Alright
>>

Isn't it 20mbps H.265? Should be enough for UHD.
>>
>>59179524
Buy it and get a 7700k right now!

Will AMD ever fix this Netflix issue? Or will Netflix on Ryzen be hell for the rest of its life?
>>
>>59179542
Thats the same for a 1080p Blu Ray.

The 4K-Blu-ray specification allows for three disc sizes, each with their own data rate: 50 GB with 82 Mbit/s, 66 GB with 108 Mbit/s, and 100 GB with 128 Mbit/

The 4K netflix is simply the same quality as watching a 1080p Raw blu ray movie upscaled a bit
>>
>>59179566
It doesn't have a iGPU so no.
And hopefully never.
>>
>>59179571

That would be a huge improvement over normal Netflix.

Will AMD be able to patch this issue or will they just ignore their users.
>>
>>59179594
I mean.. I don't think that many people using Netflix on their PC but consider the following:

Buy an R5 cpu for $250 (6c 12th) or an r 3 (4c 8th) for sub $200 instead buying i7-7700k (340 dollar altough I'm pretty sure they will lower the price.)

For $130-150 just buy a 4K streaming device and you up to go.

I understand thats its pretty shitty that 4K Netflix is only avaible via Kaby Lake DRM, but that's not AMD fault
>>
>>59179513
Sounds like a Netflix issue for not supporting the best CPU out there.
>>
>>59179447
DELET THIS

Pick only one, friend.

Dvd's still look better than 4k netflix

why is the latency so high?
>>
>>59179488
SGX instructions make a computer less secure. A keylogger could easily run as an encrypted program, hidden from the user and their antivirus. You are shilling for hardware DRM that protects viruses.
>>
>>59180741
Weaker memory controller? Duh.
Guess that's one big improvement we can expect with Zen+

L2 and L3 numbers are competitive with skylake, L2 especially is nice since it's twice the size, so that's nice.

DRAM latency is high though.

Are you literally stupid? Mpeg 2 of half the bitrate of HEVC without even getting into a discussion about resolution is supposedly better looking? Jesus fucking christ, how do you even have the intelligence to type your messages?
You must be one of those animals that believe vinyls sound better than drive recordings too.

Can you even watch 4k netflix with a Nvidia GPU plugged in or do you have to plug your monitor into the motherboard video out?

How new are you?
How much are you paid to post that intel image?
>>
>>59180741
Look at the bandwidth. 47GB/s~
Peak theoretical bandwidth for 3200mhz RAM is 51.2GB/s. AMD's memory controller is achieving radically more bandwidth than anything intel is coming near. They're showing over 90% efficiency, intel's memory controllers do about 75%.

I can only imagine how performance would improve with some uncore tweaking.
>>
>>59180809

SGX is pure cancer. I hope it dies like the serial # BS that Intel pulled back with Pentium 3s.
