When in the future will it be mandatory to do this on a device to protect privacy? I buy used phones online to repair and I have seen many like pic related. Are we living in the absolute end time of privacy as a cultural norm?

Also, would any of /g/ say that they care about privacy enough to obscure their cameras like this? Because I would just use a small sticker.

Here is another shot showing the majority of the damage was done deliberately because there is a screen protector on the glass.
