*BSD is better than Linux
Prove me wrong
Wrong, the burden of proof is on who made the claim.
Prove that BSD is better than Linux, anon.

Does FreeBSD support nixpkg yet?
>>59175224
How does nixpkg work? Does it build stuff from source?
>>59175172
Windows is better than both.
>>59175172
nah thats pretty right, linux does a lot of stuff slightly worse but then the community makes up for it by being fuckhueg by comparison.
>>59175172
FreeBSD was comfy as Debian, in a server use case.
They've got their strengths and weaknesses, so stop making shit threads trying to incite useless flame wars.
osx better then everthing

In terms of spying, yes

What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

You can be a fag without being gay, like you.
Anyone tried out TrueOS? Used to be PC-BSD
>>59175981
But can you be gay without being a fag?
>>59176068
TrueOS or GhostBSD?
>>59176149
TrueOS, never heard of GhostBSD
>>59175367
You are obviously a child and do not have experience with a superior os like a Linux Distro.

I installed FreeBSD the other day on a whim. This is the first OS that I have a problem with literally every step of getting my work flow setup. Workarounds to get Workarounds to work.
I want to like it, but I must be coming about it the wrong way. It seems very stable, but also much slower than my xubuntu.
>>59176223
Actually I do. It's why I use Windows.

> Even though the burden of proof is on you since you started this thread
Bsd has the hardware support linux had about 12 years ago.
>>59176068
it's bad
use either freebsd or openbsd
>>59176355
I hate Windows updates with a passion, I bet you don't know how to use the terminal commands or how to run servers using linux.
>>59176494
I ran multiple servers with ubuntu

The desktop experience won't be smooth the first time around, especially if you approach it like you do Linux. It does a lot of things differently, and trying to resolve the problems like you do on Linux isn't going to work
Also, the experience gets a lot better if your hardware is supported, just like Linux.
Do you have the memes?
Do you have the stones?
Do you have the Linus grade Autism?
No?
Then you're probably ok.
