Another vote for Xubuntu, by the way. I haven't used it though, I'm running Ubuntu with 5GB RAM and 5GB swap so it flies [doesn't use the swap at all actually]. And Mint Cinnamon is fucking beautiful. Both are comfy as fuck but I can see Mint would use some RAM. If I had a lower spec PC I would go with Xub.

That would be my wife's PC [which I built].

Dual core 2.4Ghz, 2GB ram, x1950 Pro. Sure Xubuntu would work on that though.
