All purchased at zipzoomfly for a total of $495.97. I got a HDD and case for free.
Fun fact:
I could order the parts for this build off eBay for $86.48 and end up with an extra 2GB RAM and a spare Athlon 64 3000+.
My first self built pc had an i7-5820k, 16gb ram and a 760. Before that I lived in an apartment so not enough space. I used laptops.

The fuck? Did you live in a closet or something? If you have room for a fridge then you have room for a desktop.
>>59159988
my 486 had a lot of work done at the time. installing a sound card, then a cd-rom (which used the ide port on the soundcard) and even a bit of ram.
after that i did a full pentium mmx socket 7 build based around a cpu+motherboard combo from frys. wish i could remember all the hardware. i do remember by the end i had a Riva TNT running in that fucker.

Because desktops consist of solely the tower and don't require monitors or desks or chairs or anything to use comfortably
my first computer was similar
asus a7n8x-deluxe
and amd barton if I remember right
It was a long time ago and I used Tigerdirect, which I no longer have the account for.
It was something along the lines of, Nvidia 7600GS and a phenom tri-core(one of the early ones that were potentially unlockable to quad core.) I really wanted an ati 4890 but just didn't have the money. I bought a shite power supply that crapped out after a few months, never recovered the build. I had an edgy chrome full tower with a huge window like a total faglet
Phenom ii 965
Hd 5850
Asus M4A785-M
Ram some 1333 ddr3
WD 640gb
enermax 525w pro82+
lian li pc 60fn
Now I have changed the gpu and the cpu/mobo/ram all the others the same
This was the first setup I bought by myself with my own money.

Pentium G4560
RX 470
8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4-2400
MSI B250M PRO-VD
Seasonic M12II EVO 520W
Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 3
Athlon tbird 1.4ghz
Radeon 32mb
256mb ram
40gb harddrive
16x CD burner
>>59160385
i can fit all of that in my closet. it's a small closet too. a full pc setup will fit in a small apartment no problem. unless you're a hoarder and already filled the place with other junk.
i3 6100
HyperX FURY DDR4 Memory
MSI B150 PRO-VD mobo
GTX 1050
WD 1tb
>>59160678
are you 10 ?
Q6600
don't remember the mobo
8GB of Mushkin DDR2(big mistake not spending more for DDR3)
GeForce 9800 GX2(huge mistake, run super hot, like 90+ Celsius hot, and died few days after warranty ended)
Antec P182 that started my love affair with cases that are big black boxes with thick walls, my current case is a Thermaltake Suppressor
Thermalright cooler that I don't remember the model of, I think it was the biggest cooler that I could afford, still love huge heatsinks on everything
>>59160708
no, im 19
i5 6500
Gigabyte B150M-D3H
EVGA GTX 960 SSC
8gb of some Crucial 2133 shit
850 EVO 120gb
WD Blue 1tb
Corsair CX500M

>Phenom II x2 3.2 GHz (can't remember the exact model number, but I unlocked it to a quad core)
>4GB DDR3
>A shitty 760G chipset MSI motherboard
>HD 6570
My first build was far from optimal, but I was proud of it at the time.
>>59159988
fx8120
gt 545
8 gigs of ram crucial ballistix
gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 rev 1.1
I got the gpu a while before on sale but I regret not getting the gtx 460 next to it for slightly more
no idea how much everything costed. But I know I got a good deal on the cpu, and the mobo was practically free.
Ram was like $40
>Antec P150 case with 430W NeoHe PSU

Oh the nostalgia!
>Asus m2m-mx-se plus
>AMD 64 x2 5200+
>2gb Ddr2 Kingston
>GeForce 8800 gs with 384 mb ddr3
Played a lot of games with this build... And it's still running, I sold it to a neighbor like 4 or 5 years ago.
>Asus P5QL PRO
>Pentium E6300@3,5Ghz with the stock cooler
>Radeon HD 4550
>2GB DDR2 Kingmax Ram
