Why do old people hate technology?
because it's new and strange and not easily recognizable.
just wait, something will come out and you'll find it strange and uncomfortable.

What? you've never used a time share teletype, sonny? or a cathode ray?
You're used to doing things one way, then something comes out that isn't that way. In the short term, it's simpler to tell yourself that you don't need it than learn something new. The brain has a preference for information it already has over information that it doesn't, and the aversion is double when it conflicts.
Just wait until something revolutionary comes around and you're still clinging to CLI instead of embracing direct brain input, shouting out "botnet" and being angry that the kiddies are le dumbed down generation for being to stupid to use keyboards
You hate technology too

dude just wait until quantum computing becomes mainstream in 30 years. /g/ will be clinging to their Ryzen processors for dear life
They don't need it, they don't understand it, tech dependent people makes many changes in the environment that they can't learn faster as we could and, in general, they're tired of living and want a simple life until the Grim Reaper kiss.
