I paid $1800 for the 2016 LG 55in OLED. They will probably get down to around $1200, but not much lower. The materials cost are too expensive.

adorama has them on for 1300 on sale on an off for 2016 4k 55". I have a 1080p one and its really nice, but regret not waiting for 4k to be this cheap.

first link by googling QLED said that quantum dot, QLED and OLED are all different things, and QLED isn't just OLED with quantum dots, couldn't be assed to learn more as TVs are meme, but maybe QLED would be viable as a monitor as it won't suffer from burn in like OLED, not sure
