I got a free Windows 10 Education license through my school, what should I do with it? Apparently it's a step above Enterprise and no Cortana.
My daily driver has been xubuntu for a while now, and originally I just planned to run this in a VM, but I've been thinking about giving it some bare metal. Anyone else have experience with Win10Edu? Also how is Hyper-V? Better than virtualbox? Let's discuss this like gentleman and avoid going full sperg with the botnet and cancer memes.

Don't bother ever since the anniversary update Cortana was added to education and hyper v doesn't work if you link the education license to your school account due to "'Security Policy"
Just get the key and keep, it will be used, once you realize loonix has no software that matters.

Are you literally mentally challenged? What are you even saying there? If your autistic sperglord mind wanted to say "Cortana is evil" but can't spell the words, you could remove that in 10 seconds and forever keep it removed if you are not utterly stupid.
2016 LTSB, unless you need Store.

The forced restarts suck.
Boot times suck.
Slows down a ton as time goes by.
Ate up a good chunk of my RAM when I still used it.

>Windows 10 Education
Garbage

Or even better, LTSB 2015

I use Win10Edu
Its the same with Enterprise feature wise, not a step above. Hyper-V is nowhere near as good as virtualbox.

first thing you should do after an install is open group policy editor and turn off all the botnet features
there is a lot of them

I thought it came with 4k screen. Who on earth buys laptops with these weird resolutions? Especially when you have XPS15 with 2160p screen.

Or even better, Windows 8.1

Indeed, but if for some reason you need 10, LTSB2015 is the only reasonable choice.

think of it as 4x1600x900
honestly im fine with it runing 2x scaling, 4x1080p would be too small for my eyes anyway
