Hey guys, how can i tell if my laptop hardware is compatible with linux? specifically a *buntu distro.

I have a lenovo g505 if that helps

Run a live USB and test it. Make it persistent if you think you need some third party drivers.

I dont have a usb drive, i was just gonna use a small partition from my desktop pc to use as a "boot drive" in order to install linux on the laptops hdd. But if thats the best way i guess i'll just buy a 4 gig drive
