Hey /t/. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to computers. I am trying to learn python but im still not really that good. I want to be able to just like look at the inside of a computer and know what is going on. Like i have no idea about what someone can do with your ip even though i hear its a massive deal. Wtf is pen testing? I want to know how hacking actually works. To me it seems like an impossible task. Is it possible to convert my hp pavillion 15 into a desktop with a case? What does the motherboard even do? Where should i go to stop being so autistic? Online courses? I'm really not sure. Help pls

Get some practice with a soldering iron. You'll figure it out son.

i know how to use a soldering iron i mean like all the wires and different parts ect
(in hindsight sounds pretty cringe the way i typed it)

You have enough time on your hands to get stuck in then if that's what you want. Continue learning Python, it will go slowly but basic knowledge yields better than linear returns.
SICP is often recommended here but try reading HTdP; it's more nicely paced.

Pic related: The A level textbook I had when I studied computing. Although it's old there's a great deal of foundation knowledge within.
