Is x86 back? Why would people use it, the word size is limited to 32 bits, and it processes less bits per cycle in comparison to amd64?

People with OCD hate AMD64 because the registers are inconsistently named: RAX, RBC, RCX, RDX, RBP, RSP, RSI, RDI (the 64-bit versions of the original i386 registers), but then it goes R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12, R13, R14, R15.
