If you look into the anecdotes about, or interviews with, any one of those widely considered "masters" by many today, you'll always find the one trait they all had in common is having coded-non-stop for years-to-decades on end. It'll become progressively harder to NOT become an absolute master guru wizard this way. The real world issue today is juggling the nurturing of such passion with the mundane realities of employ (implying wasted hours of mundane uninspiring tasks and invested in being "presentable" and a "team player" and such). Many of the greats grew up coding 24/7 from childhood onwards when they had no online or other distractions and literally nothing else to do.
