I need to make a website for my web development class and we need to make a store. It doesnt have to be fucntional since we didnt learn database and whatsnot yet but we just have to make the layout and it has to be responsive. I want to gather opinions and suggestions first before I continue my work.

It means don't add a bunch of unnecessary JS libraries and huge-ass photos for the background and whatnot. Keep it simple.

You might want to fix your caroussel in low width format tho
I guess at this point you can look into adding more features if you have enough time. Most important missing stuff would be shopping cart and search function imo
If you need to persist data like selected articles to display in shopping cart or a list of all articles to search result from without having to setup a database on your server remember there are lots of javascript apis available to do this client side
