Are web browsers just fundamentally broken? Is there something about the internet in general that makes it inevitably a shitty experience?

I think I've tried about 10 browsers for a couple weeks last year, and they all fail on at least one of these:
>too RAM hungry (all browsers, especially Chrome)
>botnet (all browsers which support more than early 2000's HTML)
>plugin problems (anything that isn't either Chrome or FF, especially FF clones suck)
>Instable (Light, a FF clone, would throw a bad SSL certificate error FOR EVERY CERTIFICATE)
>no plugins available like good adblockers etc.

For now I'll stick with FF. It uses a lot of RAM too which nowadays isn't that much of a problem anymore (doesnt mean it should be acceptable) but it works fine anyways. I used Chrome many years before until
>"hey looks like you need a light and fast alternative to IE"
>"oops we became bulkier and slower than IE"

What I really hope is that flash, java and the likes will finally die owing to html5 and browsers will stop forcing their greedy sync options no one cares about.

upwards of 1GB RAM or a web browser with 5 tabs what a joke.

Most people care about sync though
>>
>>59126676
is this really a feature you really need to have constantly running, rather than just having the option to email yourself a sync file or something for that one time a year you do a fresh install?

Chromium took its place as leader.

Never seen anyone use it.

can I disable using cache in Chromium? With >SSD someone told me it's better to disable cache for longer lifetime and in FF you can just set cache to zero

and achievement by itself
