From what I've read online they are still well worth it when they went for 400usd.

Think we talked about it before right? They don't need an amp but a DAC might do wonders for you. It does for me.

It seems like the "regular" price is around $250-300, but it's going down. I wish I could find it at $100, but locally there are pretty much none available apart from used pairs that are as expensive as a new one.

Also yeah, we talked about the DAC. I wish I could find something with inputs for both the headphone and microphone, but that doesn't seem very common. I might end up picking up something around that price range later on and then just route an extension for the mic.

Bass is almost non-existant compared to hifi, yet the mids are very clear and I even had to turn down the highs -4dB, because they were too excessive and fatigued my ears quickly. Yeah, it would mostly be just for when I'm playing something on the PS4 or watching stuff on the TV, so not that often. I've ordered some Fidelio X2s, which should be here in about a week, and it seems pretty great for those uses too. People say it has a wide soundstage, so I might not be missing that much compared to speakers. The removable cable also means it should be easy to quick swap it from my PC to my PS4.

Got short term image retention issues. People will claim it doesn't, but then when they go and check they almost always do. LG doesn't recognize it as an issue, despite literally being broken as far as I'm concerned. It's tolerable, but it's put LG on my no-buy list.
