No, they don't use any Microsoft code.

It's too buggy, even 2007 Microsoft Office has many troubles. 5-6 years later this will be a useable product, but now it's a huge pain in the ass.

Because it's still in alpha and doesn't support shit. Call me when it's kernel is compatible with Vista/7. Right now it's less of a pain using XP.
