From an application-programming perspective, how similar are PC touchscreens to mobile touchscreens? Can I interact with them using the same interfaces? If yes, how common is it for a PC touchscreen to support at least 8 or 10 simultaneous touches?
Actually, I don't care how common it is. I just want to know how cheaply I can get a decent monitor that supports 8+ touches (preferably more).

I need one to implement my CHUNITHM clone, or else force it to be on mobile

Touchscreen monitors are fucking retarded unless they also support stylus input.

My use case is just for fingers. This is the gameplay I am trying to copy (except for the air sensors). The way I imagine it working is having the top half of the screen be the notes and the bottom half be the buttons.
