why is this uni/colleage/whatever it is getting so memed around american tech/cs circles?

I dont know how it is but it seems like this place is considered a "one of the best schools in the country for tech studies" around normies/the finance bosses at tech corporations.

But /g/ents and knowledgeable people say its garbage and outdated education.

Am i right?
>>
cause they have the spiciest memelord there.

You can barely form a coherent sentence so your opinions about MIT are probably garbage.
>>
>>59121186

I can read it just fine.

I don't know weather it's good or not although I reckon universities with good reputation don't really need to teach very well. With MIT's high entry requirements they'll get the sort of people who can probably study all the material on their own and do well regardless of how well they are taught.

undergraduate degree from top uni's are just memes unless you want to work at jewgle of microshaft
>>
>>59121159
You don't go to college to learn especially if it's a top tier.
>>

>But /g/ents and knowledgeable people say its garbage and outdated education.
Whatever /g/ says, the opposite is true.
>>
>>59121309

>But /g/ents and knowledgeable people
Are you trolling? /g/ is school dropouts and degenerate autistic memelords. They have nothing on MIT.

ivy league, MIT, Stanford and co are highly regarded cause of their academic output but it doesnt necessarily have something to do with what you 'actually' learn d uring your degree

the professors are just top notch and naturally you'd think they also offer top tier education but some of them dont

what you gete on top of everything is the network, connections, alumni shit, prestige etc

this makes it so good to study there cause the people you get to know end up in high level positions and you just ride along and pull out the kneepads and suck dick until you have your shitty dev job at facebook and circlejerk on the interenet about h ow great it was that you ended up at an ivy league university cause you are a jew and your daddy donated 3 million dollar to them

Boomers shill it because they see a bunch of flashy CEOs on TV with degrees from Ivy League colleges. Education wise, it's on par with a good state school.

However, because it's boomers we're talking about, the job network there is second to none. If you want to go work at one of the more exclusive firms (Plantir, Snapchat, some fintech startup, etc), go to MIT and suck dick. Even if you don't end up there, you'll still probably find enough funding to go work on bullshit startups for a few years until you get aquihired by something (unless Trump actually reforms this).

My math professor said that his graduate professors were autistic geniuses who couldn't teach shit so everyone learned on their own.
