Hey /g/, what happens if you get thermal paste in your CPU socket?
Can I replace the socket itself or should I clean it out carefully?

Never had this problem with a build before, so I'm pretty lost. Pic related, my motherboard

if its conductive then you will short the pins
if its non conductive you will probably get shitty contact even after cleaning it off

Rinse with mineral oil then gravity drain it (socket down).

Soft+medium bristle brushes.
