Kys
Backend and Embedded Developer here. I don't keep most of my stuff in dock unless its running padre.
I only keep running apps in my dock.
>current year of our lord
>using docks
My dock is small, unlike my dick.
>>59117122
Man that's so disgusting. How do you deal with having all those icons on your screen 24/7 taking up space?
>>59117351
auto hide
>>59117122
I just use the start menu desu
>>59117332
Those icons are disgusting.
>>59117351

>>59117351
I actually don't autohide my dock, and it's not even set particularly small (it could be half the size and still work fine. I keep it because
* It's actually quite useful
* It's on a 1440p monitor so it's not a huge chunk of the pie
* I have three monitors
* It's trivial to hide it or use fullscreen if I truly absolutely need the few extra lines of space.
If I were using a laptop with no external screens, I would have to use it differently. But on my huge desktop, it's fine.
>>59117389
So's your face, shitlord.

I haven't tried C++ with Eclipse I only use it for Java.

icon pack?
Just what I use regularly.
>>59125854
Non user friendly UI (really outdated), it's a Windows program ported for macOS, so it doesn't conform to macOS' design guidelines. And on macOS there are better alternatives like Transit and CyberDuck. FileZilla is a program only people who came from Windows use. (Also: FileZilla was only available through SourceForge which bundled adware with FileZilla)

How does this thing work?
How do you know what's open?
How do you know how many instances of one thing are open?
What's the right portion of the thing?
Can you make it go away and have application run at "full screen"?
Can you have a text version of this thing, like in Windows?
>>59124732
just seamonkey with the netscape logo
>>59130752
>How does this thing work?
Click an icon to launch that application. A dot will appear underneath the icon to indicate the application is open. Click an icon of an already opened application to bring focus to it. Right-click an icon to bring up a menu with options varying by application. You can "pin" an icon to the dock in said menu. Applications that are not "pinned" are added to the right side, between the last "pinned" application and the divider.
>What's the right portion of the thing?
When you minimize a window, it goes there. "Pinned" folders/files also go there, and it's where the Trash ("Recycle Bin") icon goes.
>Can you make it go away and have application run at "full screen"?
Hiding at any time is available in the Dock preference pane ("Control Panel"), and when you click the green traffic light button in an application it goes away. You can move the mouse to the edge of the screen where it was to bring it up.
>Can you have a text version of this thing, like in Windows?
When you hover over an icon, it shows the application's name. Otherwise, no.
There is an application called uBar available which provides similar functionality to the Windows taskbar.
