>Encrypted Media Extensions (EME) is a JavaScript API for playing DRMed video content in HTML. A DRM component called a Content Decryption Module (CDM) decrypts, decodes, and displays the video. A JavaScript program coordinates the process using the EME API to pass messages between the CDM and a server that provides decryption keys and content.

>>
>>59108298
it gets all the improvements months before the stable branch does, so yes.
It's noticeably faster than all other firefox branches, with the exception of developer edition. A few weeks ago I downloaded ungoogled chromium to compare the speeds between the two browsers, and I found that they were for the most part the same.
Chromium was probably a bit faster on average, but it's something you'd only notice if you have both open in front of you at the same time.
Regular firefox compared to chromium, however, was embarrassing.

It's hard to say. A lot of older AMD64 builds displayed inferior performance when compared to i386 builds. But there advantages to having an object code that makes use of 64-bit such as more memory or security. I haven't come across any recent benchmarks for recent builds, but the i386 build does boast better compatibility.

If you have the CPU horsepower you can send performance through the roof by giving a higher value to

Apparently not. Had to figure this out in my own since I refuse to use Chrome. IOW, Netflix is being a little bitch about compatibility.

I'm using 64bit since forever. At least over 10 years. How can you still be using 32bit in 2017? Many distros are not even available in 32bit anymore, and even the loved oldschool thinkpads are supporting 64 bit since more than 10 years.
